Summer Camp

About our Summer Camp
We have offered a summer camp experience with a focus on canoe and kayak since 1991. Our program is designed to promote fitness and provide training in sprint canoe and kayak racing in a fun and safe environment. We also have introductory programs for children and programs for adults.

Summer Camp
Afternoon Sessions: 1 pm – 4pm
Full Day Sessions: 9 am – 4pm
The program will include both watertraining and “camp” activities. The on water session will teach the basic skills for paddling in sprint style canoes and kayaks. Other activities will include games such as water volleyball, soccer, dragon boat practices and other fun activities. Depending on their skill level the paddlers will be encouraged to enter local regattas with other sprint clubs in the GTA. We keep a low ratio of campers to our certified Canoe Kayak Canada instructors.

Who Can Join
All boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 16 (at the time of camp) for the Summer Camp program. From 9 to 90 for our other programs. Aquaquest Level 6 in swimming is recommended. All equipment is supplied, including life jackets. Purchase of racing singlet will be required if competing at local regattas.

What to Bring
- sunscreen, hat, water shoes
- running shoes
- swimsuit, towel
- packed lunch (if full days)
- drinks, snacks

Location
Sunset Beach on the East End of Lake Wilcox in Oak Ridges on old Bayview Avenue. Between North Lake Rd. and Bethesda Avenue. Please Note: In the event of inclement weather, participants will take shelter in a designated area until the weather clears.
